LAKE HELEN – Adult members of the Red Rock Indian Band can get their share of a recent land claim settlement now.
According to a notice shared on social media, the First Nation began issuing payments on Monday. Cheque are being issued to members who show up at the band office and sign a release form.
Payments will be issued 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m. weekdays until the office closes for the holidays on Dec. 20.
Red Rock Indian Band officials have declined to comment on the settlement.
